What is SENS?

SENS is a system provided by the JSE, which disseminates company announcements and price sensitive information, i.e. mergers, take-overs, rights offers, capital issues, cautionaries, etc - all of which have an impact on the share price movement in the market.

The key purpose of SENS is to ensure that this information is accessible to the investing community interested in trading on the JSE, as soon as it is vetted by the JSE Listings Division.

The system can be subscribed to as a continuous Realtime feed or as an end of day summary file of the day's announcements.
