Overview
There are 56 authorised user firms that have been approved for trading. The exact number changes on a monthly basis depending on the approval of new applicants or the resignation of authorised users.

Presrcibed Examinations
- Traders employed by user firms must comply with minimum registration requirements, including prescribed examinations, before they can be given authorisation to trade. To ensure that all traders meet certain minimum standards, they must obtain a pass in the Registered Person Examinations.

Allocation and usage of trader codes
Registration of traders is handled by the JSE Surveillance Division as part of the application for authorised user status. Please notify Krishna Puckree on (011) 520 7478 or krishnap@jse.co.za, should any of your registration details change or in the event that your trader code status has changed.
Should you leave the employ of the user firm under whose name you are currently registered, your trader registration will be terminated and you will be required to re-register with the JSE on employment with another user firm.
Trading times
Nutron offers 24-hour trading on business days (Monday to Friday).
Trade reporting times
Users can report trades between 7am and 6pm on business days (Monday to Friday).
Holiday Schedule for 2013
Users cannot trade or report trades on weekends or the following public holidays:
