Introduction
The primary function of the Delivery Manager - Trading Operations is to provide the critical line management support to a dynamic high performing technical team comprising of Trading system application support analysts, Business Analysts and Testers, who provide technical support for the core critical Trading and Surveillance packaged systems and services that enable the JSE business to function. The Delivery Manager is the primary operational contact with the OEM providers of trading and related software. The Surveillance aspect is in conjunction with the Regulatory Surveillance team - the Delivery manager Trading Operations is the primary contact with the OEM provider of the software to support the Regulatory Support Delivery Manager. Leads a team of IT professionals (permanent employees, labour brokers and 3rd party suppliers) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of IT services, support within agreed SLA's and delivery against business initiatives to their respective stakeholders, including collaborating with IT Service Delivery leads to ensure system performance and availability.

Business and Financial Results Management
- Provide input into departmental/divisional budget to ensure appropriate resource allocation in achievement of departmental goals
- Manage allocated budget and procurement through effective monitoring and reporting
- Facilitate results delivery on time and within budget, using agile software delivery methods whilst adhering to sound IT governance practices and control procedures
- Provide strategic thinking and contributions to crafting of departmental business plan based on professional knowledge and experience, to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of IT and business strategies
- Deliver required business features as defined by business stakeholders and prioritised by product owner
- Construct system solutions as defined by the JSE architecture competency areas and technology roadmaps
- Identify possible risk and delivery impact to value realisation, project timing and resourcing from a system, people, process and financial point of view to inform planning, expectation setting and mitigation
- Estimate effort and time frames for delivery of prioritised backlog across iniatives and production to inform value assessments, business cases and sprint / project / release planning
- Ensure delivery of solutions in line with set timelines, cost and quality by constantly refining priorities and remainging focused on the minimal viable product and maintaining team velocity and value delivery
- Provide input into requests for information / proposals by providing the requirements and participating in the various activities to faciliatate selection of solutions
- Ensure that software license manageent (purchased / maintained / optimised) to comply with licensing terms and agreements and prevent any possible prejudice to JSE
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build open and trusting relationships with product owners, stakeholder and excutive product sponsors
- Build relationships with colleagues, peers and team members by using appropriate interpersonal styles of opennes, collaboration, trust and respect,which provides a sense ofconfidence - live the JSE values
- Ensure traceability of cients needs through the development life cycle in accordance with JSE standard
- Support business and product owners in cross business and IT unit alignment, dependencies and prioritisation discussions
- Maintain and present up to date roadmaps of application-oriented projects to evolve the application portfolio to meet the needs of the business and its strategy
- Build and maintain sound and strategic relationships with key suppliers in support of the business unit
Minimum requirements
- Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology or Business-related field
- Honours degree in a financial discipline or engineering related subject
- 5 to 10 years working on systems in financial market across various asset classes;
- 5 years’ plus experience in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including experience in managing cross functional component and feature teams using agile methods and DEVOPS; Experience in six sigma (green belt) or similar and are able to leverage of process engineering to influence and introduce efficiencies;
- Proven experience in finding solutions to loosely defined business problems by leveraging automation, pattern detection over potentially large datasets. Experience in leading delivery teams focused on continuous integration, delivery and test driven development
