• The 2021 Spire Awards competition is a promotional competition conducted by the JSE Limited (“JSE”) in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008 and the Regulations promulgated thereunder, where applicable.
  • The JSE is conducting an online competition prior to the JSE Spire Awards for 2021, an online Event to be held on 30 March 2022 (“the Event”).
  • Entrants to the Competition must be participants of the 2021 Spire Awards voting process and will be obliged to interact with the JSE during the voting process for the Event by means of a submission of a vote in the institutional investor category prior to the Event. 
  • The prize winner will be chosen by the JSE from the eligible entrants as per below. The prize winner will be awarded to the company for whom the eligible entrant works and the company may distribute the prize as it deems fit.
  • The prize winner will be contacted by the JSE (or its agent) after the conclusion of the Event and the Competition by means of an e-mail or telephone to the prize winner via the information provided for the 2021 Spire Awards voting process.  Should the JSE (or its agent) be unable to contact the prize winner after reasonable attempts to do so, the JSE (and its agent) reserves the right to award the winning prize to the next name chosen in the Competition.

 6 x bottles of 2016 Meerlust Rubicon to the value of R2 800  

A live random draw of eligible entrants during the Event

There is no cash alternative to the prizes on offer and no cash payment will be made to the prize winner. 


How to enter:

  • Only one entry into the 2021 Spire Awards competition will be allowed.
  • The entrant must submit a vote in the institutional investor category for the 2021 Spire Awards voting process.



  • The promoter of this Competition is the JSE.
  • The JSE, its directors, employees, contractors, agents or consultants or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the JSE, or a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition, or the spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • The JSE will be entitled to publish the prize winners names (at no fee or consideration) on the website and/or Facebook and/or Twitter and/or any other JSE social media platform and the prize winner will not be required to endorse, promote or advertise any of the JSE’s products or services.
  • The JSE will adjudicate and decide upon any issues arising from or connected with the Competition, the prizes and the award of the prize. The JSE’s decision will be final and binding upon all entrants on all aspects of the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Due to the nature and target audience of the Competition, minors are not eligible for entry into the Competition.
  • To be eligible for the Competition, entrants must reside in the Republic of South Africa.
  • The JSE, its directors, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and suppliers assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from any aspect of the Competition howsoever arising.
  • If required by the appropriate regulatory authorities or if the JSE in its discretion so decides, the JSE shall have the right to terminate the Competition with immediate effect without notice.  In this event, all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against the JSE and acknowledge that they have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the JSE, its directors, employees, contractors, agents, consultants and suppliers.
  • Entrants and the prize winners indemnify the JSE against any claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of their participation in the Competition.
  • By participating in Competition, all entrants agree to these terms and conditions and agree that the Competition results are final in all aspects.
