As a contributor to South Africa’s economy, our role as the JSE is not only to support economic growth, but also to encourage South Africans to participate in investment.

In South Africa, over 40% of households are headed by women. Prioritising women’s financial literacy needs has a profound national and generational impact in the opportunity to convert financial literacy into generational wealth and increase in national savings rate, retirement rate and other financial wellness outcomes.  Unfortunately, however, research shows, women are hesitant to invest, due to numerous reasons, including fear or lack of information on how to actively participate in the financial markets, and accumulating burdensome financial responsibilities resulting in deprioritisation of investment goals.

So, in 2018 the JSE heeded the call to address this critical concern by pioneering the JSE #SheInvests, a growing platform designed to drive the empowerment of  women in their investment journeys. Now entering its 7th year, #SheInevsts has become a catalyst for financial literacy, networking, and transformative learning for women ready to take charge of their financial futures. Thanks to the incredible support and enthusiasm from our community, this year’s conference will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre and promises to be our biggest and most impactful yet. We have curated a rich and engaging programme designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive. We will cover topics such as how women can monetise their wealth, how one can fund their investment journey while navigating current economic challenges and exchange traded funds (ETFs). Coupled with exciting fireside discussions and the opportunity to connect with likeminded individuals, this is a conference you do not want to miss. Plus, there are a series of amazing prizes to be won.
