JOHANNESBURG, 14 AUGUST 2025 – This year’s theme is, Where Your Present and Future Meet, which aims to highlight the strength of women in the present and the limitless possibilities of the future.
#SheInvests, the JSE’s flagship Women’s Month event, is an educational platform that encourages women to take charge of their financial journeys by offering insights into investment opportunities, fostering confidence in money and entrepreneurship matters, and creating space for women to connect and learn from financial experts.
This year’s conference is set to raise the bar with a phenomenal line-up of speakers and panelists including, multi–award winning radio host, TV presenter and Global Citizen ambassador, Bonang Matheba; personal finance journalist and author, Maya Fisher-French; entrepreneur, podcaster and Wisdom & Wellness Founder, Mpoomy Ledwaba as well as Mapalo Makhu, award-winning personal finance expert, author and speaker.
Attendees will gain usable strategies and insights from discussions with women leaders in finance, business and investing. They will forge relationships with a vibrant community of like-minded, ambitious women, gain practical advice for setting financial goals in today's ever-changing economy, and fabulous prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day.
"The JSE launched #SheInvests to dismantle self-doubt and lack of information that holds women back from the wealth-building potential of the financial markets. Seeing #SheInvests grow year-on-year fills us with pride as we continue to play our role in demystifying the world of investment and finance for women in South Africa, championing gender equity and inclusive sustainable development,” said Vuyo Lee, Director of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the JSE.
The JSE is committed to building an inclusive financial future for all women. Given that women lead over 40% of South African households, providing practical investment skills is critical and can create positive national change for communities and future generations.
While in-person tickets are officially sold out, virtual tickets are still available, giving audiences access to all the inspiration, insights and energy of #SheInvests 2025, no matter where they are.
“We encourage women and girls to join the conversation online and use the opportunity to engage with speakers and fellow attendees in real time and be part of this powerful movement from the comfort of their home,” concluded Lee.
This year’s #SheInvests is made possible through the generous support of our valued sponsors, who are united in their commitment to empowering women through financial education.
