The JSE provides a suite of key information documents (KIDs) for certain products to meet European regulation requirements on packaged retail and insurance-based investment products. These regulations require KIDs to be drawn up for certain investment products, including exchange traded derivatives. These documents provide European retail investors with key product information to enable them to make informed investment decisions and compare different products.
The JSE provides aggregated KIDs per asset class and sets out the variations for options (put, call, long and short). The KIDs are provided in English but can be made available in other European official languages on request.
