The JSE is broadening its data offerings with third-party data sets, designed to complement our traditional financial data, streamline compliance, and enhance decision-making. Embracing ESG standards and reporting can be a daunting task. In order to assist companies, the JSE has collaborated with Findings, to enable companies to assess their ESG maturity and be guided through ESG framework submissions. To assist with understanding readiness the JSE has released, the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), international sustainability standards announced in 2023, IFR S1 and S2. IFRS S1 is for sustainability-related financial disclosures and IFRS S2 is for climate related disclosures. An S1 and S2 short form assessment is being made available on a complimentary basis for clients to experiment with the software and get a dip stick of their readiness.
As a paid service the JSE Sustainability Disclosure Guidance launched in in June 2022, has been added for clients to walk through their assessment and see how they fare against the framework.
