About SheInvests

In South Africa, over 40% of households are headed by women, making women’s financial literacy a national priority with generational impact. When women are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to invest, they create pathways to generational wealth, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more inclusive economy.

As a key driver of South Africa’s financial markets, the JSE is committed to ensuring that all South Africans, especially women, participate meaningfully in investment. 
To deliver on this commitment, we launched JSE #SheInvests - an annual one-day conference held on a Saturday during Women’s Month, dedicated to empowering women through accessible financial education, practical investment insights, and inspiring stories. 

From its inception in 2018, the JSE SheInvests conference has grown from a small, intimate gathering into a nationally recognized platform for financial empowerment. For the first six years, the event was hosted at the JSE. Attendance has steadily increased from the inaugural year to date, a clear reflection of the growing appetite for financial literacy among women.

In 2025, SheInvests reached a significant milestone, becoming our biggest and most impactful conference to date. Hosted at the prestigious Sandton Convention Centre, the event attracted close to 900 attendees, showcasing its ability to engage audiences both physically and virtually.
Building on this momentum, the 2026 conference is set to scale to new heights. For the first time, SheInvests will be hosted at the iconic Kyalami Racetrack, with an anticipated 1,500 in-person participants, a testament to the growing influence and reach of this transformative platform.

Now entering its 9th year, SheInvests has become a catalyst for financial literacy, networking, and transformative learning for women ready to take charge of their financial futures. #SheInvests is where knowledge becomes confidence, and confidence becomes action. When women invest with intention, they ignite change, strengthen communities, and shape an economy that reflects the full breadth of South Africa’s potential.

The JSE SheInvests Conference is anchored as an in-person event, but we go above and beyond to ensure our virtual attendees feel equally engaged, inspired, and part of the day. We recognize that many women, whether based outside Gauteng or navigating personal circumstances, cannot attend in person. That’s why we design a hybrid experience that is immersive, inclusive, and impactful.

Our full-day programme features a dynamic main stage with keynote addresses, SHE Talk-style presentations, fireside chats, and vibrant networking opportunities. Complementing this is an interactive exhibition and lifestyle area, buzzing with energy as attendees connect one-on-one with sponsors and exhibitors during intervals and post-event sessions.

The JSE SheInvests 2026 Conference is set to be a transformative experience under the theme “Boldly Redefining Wealth, Power and Purpose.” This theme reflects a powerful vision for women’s financial empowerment, challenging traditional notions of success and inspiring intentional choices that prioritize purpose, wellness, and unapologetic financial freedom.
