Johannesburg, 11 February 2026: The Amplify Strategic Income Satrix Feeder AMETF is an income‑focused fund offering retail investors exposure to the Amplify SCI Strategic Income Fund. The underlying fund invests across a range of South African fixed‑income assets, including government and corporate bonds and money‑market instruments, with optional offshore exposure subject to regulatory limits. Active management allows the team to adjust positions to deliver steady income and protect capital across varying market conditions.
This AMETF forms part of Amplify Investment Partners’ broader offering. Amplify, a subsidiary of Sanlam Investment Holdings, is a leading sub‑advised investment manager providing long‑only, global and hedge fund strategies. Since rebranding from Sanlam Select in 2019, its Assets Under Management (AUM) has grown from R7.5 billion to R80 billion by December 2025.
Wade Witbooi, Managing Director at Amplify Investment Partners said: “We are excited to add an additional access point for investors who increasingly use modern brokerage and investment platforms as part of their financial planning, through the listing of the AMETF. The underlying Amplify SCI Strategic Income Fund has been a top decile performer relative to similar funds over 10 years, under the meticulous management of Terebinth Capital, who operate calmly under uncertainty. This fund is designed to deliver a high level of income while preserving capital, by actively and flexibility positioning across the full spectrum of South African fixed income assets.”
“Listings like these are about more than adding new tickers to the board; they’re about widening participation in our capital markets,” said Adèle Hattingh, Business Development and Exchange Traded Products Manager at the JSE. “As the ETF ecosystem expands, investors gain more practical ways to start investing, learn by doing and build resilient portfolios through products that are easier to understand, easier to access and supported by transparent, ongoing disclosure.”
In 2025, the ETF market showed a year-on-year growth rate of 29%, growing total market capitalization by approximately R60 billion. They have opened the door for everyday investors by offering easy access to diversified investment portfolios.
Today’s listing brings the total number of ETFs on the JSE to 129 with an overall market capitalization in excess of R258 billion.
