Johannesburg, 11 March 2025 – Trading under the share code, RFFI, this fund will provide investors with access to a portfolio of fixed income instruments.
RealFin CIS is a leading boutique CIS Management Company with an AUM of R75 billion, providing a manco hosting solution to third party asset managers.
“We are proud to be one of the few CIS Manco’s that offer a complete service offering to our fund managers and investors, through the hosting of traditional long only portfolios, hedge funds and now both index tracking and actively managed ETFs,” said Cornelis Batten, Group CEO of RealFin.
“With R36 billion assets under management, RealFin Asset Management specialises in bespoke portfolio solutions tailored to meet our investors’ needs. We are excited to expand our offering by listing our first AMETF on the JSE. The aim is to offer stable returns, at low cost to a broad investor base,” concluded Batten.
The RealFin Fixed Income AMETF is designed to maximise returns in the hands of investors whilst maintaining capital stability over the long term. To achieve this, the portfolio will primarily be invested in, a variety of domestic and international, listed and unlisted, fixed income securities. While the focus is predominantly on South African markets, the portfolio may invest in select international securities in the future.
The RealFin AMETF provides investors with exposure to a wide range of securities in a simple and convenient way than if the investor took up positions in each singular asset. By providing a dynamic blend of fixed income securities, investors are able to buy into a fund that’s risk is constantly monitored and mitigated.
"Last year, we saw a real interest in AMETF instruments. At the JSE, we are committed to providing diverse and innovative offerings like the RFI AMETF to enrich our investment landscape and provide investors with well-suited offerings,” said Adèle Hattingh, Business Development & Exchange Traded Products Manager at the JSE.
The initial listing comprises a minimum of 10,200,000 RFI AMETF Securities, with an indicative issue price of ZAR 10.00 (ZAC 1,000) per security. Distributions will be paid semi-annually.
Today’s listing brings the number of ETFs listed on the JSE to 118 with a market capitalisation exceeding R201 billion.
